Library

Leonora District High School Library is dedicated to providing an engaging and caring learning space for all students. It is our belief that reading and literature, be it for learning or enjoyment, is an important part of education and development. Our goal is to help support Leonora DHS Students in their Literacy Endeavours.

Our student catalogue contains a variety of different categories designed to appeal to all ages, including an extensive picture book section with separate collection of picture books designed for older readers, Junior Fiction and Fiction sections for more advanced readers as well as our ever growing Non Fiction collection.

We are regularly looking for ways to improve our catalogue to suit the needs an interests of our users, such as the new addition of a Graphic Novel Section aimed at Upper Primary to High School to further support the literacy goals and engagement of older learners.

The Library is open Monday-Wednesday for classes to use for research and to access our ever evolving materials. A Take-Home Borrowing program is available for families who wish to access these materials at home. It is also open during Lunch to provide a welcome, inclusive and calm space for students wishing to read or relax with a game or quiet activity.
